Superintendent - General Contractor - Data Center

Highland Consulting Group is a leading nationwide recruiting firm specializing in placing exceptional construction professionals within commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors. We're collaborating with a prominent General Contractor firm to seek an adept Superintendent for the Columbus, OH area. This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience of construction management working with the construction of data centers This is a full-time position primarily involving a local project with no travel required.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure a secure work environment
  • Coordinate day-to-day construction tasks efficiently
  • Schedule and manage crews and subcontractors
  • Facilitate timely procurement of materials and equipment
  • Liaise with foremen to align on daily production plans
  • Oversee and maintain quality control standards
  • Provide comprehensive daily work reports
  • Offer technical expertise and guidance to resolve production issues, ensuring corrective actions are executed
  • Ensure project adherence to schedule, specifications, safety standards, and meet Project Manager expectations
  • Act as the primary interface with project owners

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in motivating teams for daily productivity and efficiency
  • Strong multitasking abilities
  • Self-motivated problem solver
  • Proven track record of career stability and successful superintendent roles
  • Minimum 5 years' Superintendent experience on projects exceeding $2 Million
  • Preferably experienced in large medical/healthcare/schools/laboratory facilities with MEP experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management recommended; equivalent experience considered
