Highland Consulting Group is a national executive search firm that specializes in placing top construction professionals.

We are working with a large regional Roofing Contractor in the Washington, DC area that is recruiting for an experienced Sr Roofing Project Manager. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Roofing Project Manager working all types of roofs for commercial or industrial clients.  This client is experiencing strong continued growth and wants an employee for the long haul.  Great growth opportunity and the financial rewards that come with it.  Another upside is that the project focus is all on local projects - no travel! - Relocation assistance available

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages and supervises all phases of assigned projects
  • Prepare and manage schedules
  • Estimate Change orders
  • Negotiate all change orders and maintain change order logs
  • Manages project budget and approves all expenses
  • Contract Administration
  • Buyout of Subcontracts & Equipment
  • Interface with the owner on all projects assigned
  • Assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents
  • Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with superintendent and the Owner’s representative, and issue punch list(s) to all relevant subcontractors
  • Stay in contact with past clients for repeat work

Requirements

  • Solid Communication both verbal and written
  • Ability to establish timelines and budgets
  • Experience in cost estimation and negotiating
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lead productive, multi-discipline meetings
  • Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and project management success a must
  • Experience: 5 years experience as a Roofing Project Manager with projects larger than $1M
  • They require someone that can take a project from award to completion and handle the buyout negotiations, work with the superintendents, manage the budget and financial aspects of the project, ensure that the safety practices are being followed, make sure that quality work is being completed, follow up with the client on any punch list items and then close out the project
